About the event
Meet "Mata", from The Bond Between. Mata is a four-year-old medium-haired orange Maine Coon mix, who volunteers his kitty hours visiting nursing homes and assisted living facilities, brightening people's days with his floof.
Children of all ages can sign up for a 15-min slot to come read to Mata. They can bring their own books or pick one from the store to read.
About The Bond Between
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on building the bond between humans and animals.
They were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, they have rescued over 30,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. The organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal well-being organization!
In addition to rescue, they offer Community Animal Visits to Minnesota assisted living communities and other facilities that share the joy…
