About the event
Programming is fast becoming a necessary skill, next to reading, writing, and arithmetic. Kids today grow up surrounded by technology and intuitively understand technology. But when it comes to teaching the underlying concepts, we in Minnesota are surprisingly, among the worst in the nation.
Given my computer science background, I've been thinking of ways to get kids excited about coding early. I believe, that learning to code and engaging in programming, instills the ideas of logical thinking, reasoning, problem-solving, and creativity that will come in handy, no matter what they do later in life!
Our first coding session in Fall of 23 was a lot fun.
With that in mind, I'm offering once-a-week after-school Coding Club. We will use various block programming platforms.
6-week session starting Tuesday January 16th. Workshop dates:
- January 16th
- January 23rd
- January 30th
- February 6th
- February 13th
- February 20th
